My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I always feel that a prologue to a book is the most important think. Because its the very first line from where reader decides whether he is going to like the book or hate it.
The very same thing happens in this book. The prologue caught my attention. It developed my interest and i couldn't help but devour the book. The book has been nicely written and i thoroughly enjoyed reading it but it fell short at many places and the main was:
Politics - In a Kingdom politics is very much important but we didn't see much of that in this book. The plotting by the enemy was also not at par.
I liked the way the story was moved. The romance scenes were very well written but the problem was the way the society was handled. I mean people of the country hated Gifted but the truth is many of them lived among them. The queen used her magic a lot of times so i don't understand how no one even suspected her with magic.
The king disappeared a lot and i wouldn't agree to the fact that people will accept especially the lords that the king has went on a tour of borderlands etc bcs no one has seen him traveling. No one has received him in borderlands. The contenders on throne will inquire. There will be spies.
All this considered i enjoyed this book a lot. The characterization done by the author was so great that all the above things didn't even came into my mind while reading the book. These are my after thoughts on finishing the book. I hope you will read this book and enjoy it the way i did.
