What i really liked about this book was the ending.... I knew that the author will redeem the abbey just like he have done in his past books but what i was waiting was for how will that happen. The medium never abandons the people who have faith in them but the medium's will is always a grand surprise to everyone...

I could have predicted the events which happened as soon as the Apse Veil was restored. It was just unimaginable. I really liked that part of the book so much. The only thing i hated was how Maia couldn't bring herself to punish her father. She was not strong enough or can say loved him that much that she wouldn't do it. Probably it was what the aldermaston mentioned, it was supposedly her gift of compassion for everyone, including the people who perform bad deeds is what kept her from doing it.
